Mr. Kiprop Rutto Marrirmoi is an advocate of the High Court with over 12 years of active legal practice. He hold a master’s degree in Environmental Law and Policy from University of Kent, United Kingdom and also Ph.D candidate at the University of Nairobi.
Mr. Marrirmoi’s legal experience spans across various spheres of the law having served at the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), Ministry of Lands, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) as a prosecution counsel, part time lecturer in law at the Mount Kenya University and currently the managing partner of MCC Advocates. Due to his mastery in environmental law, Mr. Marrimoi was recently appointed as the President for the Kenya Environmental Lawyers (KELA) an umbrella body comprising of environmental lawyers and environmental law students across the country.
Due to the cross cutting nature of the issues handled at the Tribunal, Mr. Marrirmoi’s past experiences will certainly be instrumental in achieving the mandate of the Tribunal.
